What families say about us Powered by Five Tool Youth
Real words from the athletes and families Coach Patrick Reid has developed over more than a decade — across the programs that led to EBTLA.
"A common question I get now is, 'Who taught you how to pitch?' I can confidently say that Patrick Reid is the sole reason for where I'm at today in my career. Without his knowledge of the game and love for helping young men grow, I'd be working in the real world while my dream slowly slipped away."

"Coming from baseball programs in three of the strongest baseball states, we're very selective about who coaches our son. From the start I was impressed that Coach Reid had every player assessed by a sports-vision therapist, an orthopedist and a chiropractor to set a baseline and track progress. The program focuses on health, fitness, fundamentals and the mental side of the game, and the staff take a personal interest in each player. I wish I'd had Coach Reid when I played."

"It has been our sincere pleasure to be part of Pat's program for the greater part of a decade. Pat Reid has been instrumental in our son's development as an athlete and as a man of character. The lessons your athlete learns at TASBA far exceed the game of baseball and apply to all aspects of life. Our son is now a senior, committed to continue his academic and baseball career at the college he has longed to attend since childhood."

"I started working out with Coach Pat Reid at 12, throwing a fastball that maxed at 70 mph; as an 18-year-old I touched 88–89. He taught me to use my body efficiently and, by strengthening my core and teaching arm-safe mechanics, kept me injury-free for seven years. The summer of my junior year I accepted an athletic scholarship to Columbia University — one of eight of Coach Pat's 2014 grads to sign a Division 1 Letter of Intent."
Ryan Jorgensen
"I was drafted in the 7th round of the 2000 draft by the Cubs, then traded to the Marlins where I made my major league debut. I am still applying the mental approaches to life's lessons that I learned from Pat Reid."
Mark Mangum
"Pat Reid was instrumental in me reaching my baseball goals. He was my summer and fall baseball coach in high school. Following an injury, I had developed some pretty bad habits. Pat helped me find my arm action and throwing motion again. I played in a big tournament the next week, and my velocity jumped four miles an hour, two miles an hour faster than I had ever thrown. That tournament is where the school I eventually committed to saw me and soon after offered me a scholarship. One year later I was drafted in the first round by the Colorado Rockies in 1997. Pat took the time and care to look after me and my family while helping me reach my baseball goals. He directly affected my baseball career in all the right ways. That impact is permanent, and I wouldn't have it any other way."

"I can't even begin to describe the amount of impact that you had on my baseball career on and off the field. Baseball was just something I happened to do, but becoming a man and growing into who I am today is a testament to who you are and helping shape that. Thank you for caring for me and loving me unconditionally. Thank you for always believing in me. Thank you for the depth of knowledge you so willingly shared. My career wouldn't have been the same without you. Cheers to all the future impact that you are fortunate to make on so many other young and aspiring ball players."

"Every Sunday morning at 7AM from twelve years old through high school Pat Reid and I worked on baseball, and life. When I was home from college we would spend a lot of time working together. While in college, I sent him a hitting video and we went over it by phone. What Pat taught me about baseball helped me set school records in high school and go on to be a four-year starter at Dartmouth College. What Pat taught me about life still impacts me today. Pat Reid is not just a great coach. He is my mentor. He is my friend."

"Jose/BaseballStrong has been instrumental in my son's exceptional growth in the last 12 months. He cares about him as a person, then as an athlete. I trust him 100% with my son's athletic development, recovery, nutrition and performance."
The Ceballos Family
"Every athlete gets to a point where growth and improvement stops. We were at that point this summer. We were very fortunate to be introduced to Jose/ Baseball Strong! That is a friendship to last a lifetime! His experience and knowledge was the key to Valentin Ceballos beginning the next step in his journey. Thank you Jose and Darren Scott for the introduction."

"Our family has had the privilege of watching our son work one-on-one with Coach Kaase for the past five years … Coach Kaase's knowledge and experience of the game is among the best, but what truly sets him apart is his passion, his faith, and his unwavering commitment to developing young men…not just athletes. I'll never forget something he told us after we first met: 'I'm not just coaching these boys to be great baseball players; I'm coaching them to be great men.' Over the last five years, he has proved those words to be true. … We are incredibly grateful for the impact Coach Kaase has had on our son's life and on our family."

"We (my wife and I) met Jacob Kaase in our son's 8th grade year, he tried out for a team Coach Kaase was managing. During the first practice we could tell he was different. His personality and demeanor was different than what we had encountered in travel baseball. Games were coached differently, calmness, baseball insight and teaching were the forefront of Coach Kaase. No yelling, no screaming, no profanity. Soon we could tell that he had a spirit we knew was of God. How cool to finally have a coach whose purpose was to teach and mentor young men between the lines and outside of the lines. Fast forward to our son's Sophomore year. Coach is now Coaching at Canyon High School. I would take my son to the school at 630 am because Coach was willing to teach him things as a middle infielder I couldn't. I would pick my son up around 730, sweating but grinning and excited about the drills, footwork, fielding work he was learning. Coach continued this for many mornings and we are grateful. I believe Coach Kaase has not only been extremely impactful in our son's growth into professional baseball, but also in affirming our families faith in Jesus Christ and the importance of being grounded in faith. Baseball is an incredibly difficult sport. High peaks and low valleys. Coach Kaase is a tremendous husband, father, Coach and man of God. Our family is so grateful and I believe any parents and players will benefit from just being around him in tremendous ways."
